Friday Love Story:Where you least expect it!

I hope my Friday Love Stories have given inspiration!  As I keep working on James and Lily’s new website, I get so excited looking at our new bridal pieces that will be available.  I know each ring will have its day to make someone very happy.  This week’s Friday Love Story is so cute I couldn’t wait to share it!
Isabela was taking a routine trip to the dog park with her darling Keanga.  As she was traipsing through the park another dog took notice of Keanga.  The two dogs couldn’t stop playing!  Finally the other dog’s owner, Eric, caught up with them and noticed the dogs were having such a good time they probably needed some water.  Well, when Eric asked Isabela if they should take the dogs to the water fountain for a drink, she though he said “would you like to go for a drink”.  Well if he was asking her on a date she said, “I can’t dressed like this”.  Through the miss communication Eric found that well if he asked her out she would wouldn’t turn him down!  With such a cute beginning Eric had to make sure the engagement was just as special.
Halloween was around the corner and all the preparations were in order.  Eric made Isabela’s favorite dinner while they were tending to the trick-or-treaters.  It was Isabela’s turn to answer the door and standing there were a little boy and girl dressed as bride and groom.  The little girl handed Isabela a bouquet of roses and the little boy held out a box.  Eric emerged at her side on bended knee and opened the little box and asked her to marry him!

Such a cute story!  Could you imagine how cute the two little kids were?!  This is such a special post because this June will be Isabela and Eric’s ten year anniversary!  Congratulations!!!!

Friday Love Story, Not according to Plan

The sun will not stop shining! Hopefully this amazing weather will keep going through this weekend, so I can get out and enjoy it.  I have another proposal story to share before the weekend starts.  It is such a great example that no matter how much you plan, sometimes things will not go accordingly…. But  it will be just as romantic!

I met Nyle while getting ready to have my appendix removed.  With all the hustle and bustle that goes on in an Emergency room I noticed his kind eyes and beautiful smile.  My brother in law worked with him and I insisted that he set us up.  Thank goodness he did!   As avid travelers, Nyle and I take every opportunity to pack our bags and head out.  We headed to Tulum to get some sunshine and good food.  Two days before our vacation was over we had an amazing dinner and stuffed ourselves!  Nyle kept trying to get me to go for a walk on the beach but I was insistent that I needed to lie down and wait out the overstuffed feeling.  Well… I was ruining his plan to propose, but I didn’t know!   No cute long walk on the beach under the moonlight!  He was determined to arrived back home engaged so he proposed while I was lying sick in bed.  It was the best cure for my stomachache!  I was just like how we had first met!   Even though I ruined his plans it was just as romantic with every word he spoke.  We were married September 5th at a beautiful Chateau in the Loire Valley, France.

Cristina’s proposal story is a story that makes me laugh.  Her story proves that even though Nyle’s grand plan was altered, it was still such a special and romantic moment for the two of them!

Friday Love Story, Building Memories

Hopefully your week has whizzed by as quickly as mine has!  Spring is bringing in some great new changes for James and Lily Jewelry…we will keep you posted!  To wrap up the week and bring in the much needed weekend we are so excited to share another proposal story.
I was meeting Sean at our favorite restaurant for a date night. As I sat on the bench waiting for him to show up, all of a sudden my Mom walks up to me and hands me a red rose with a little note hanging from it! Then my Dad hands me one, then my Grandma and then my best friend and so on! Each note described how we met, something we experienced together and the things he loved about me. About 2-3 dozen roses later from all of my family and friends and a face full of tears from reading all the notes, I look up and I see Sean walking towards me. He hands me a white rose and gets down on one knee as he tells me that I am his soul mate and then asked me to marry him in front of everyone! He put so much thought into it….it was amazing! I loved that he included all of my family and friends to be part of our special day! We got engaged on October 23, 2009 and were married exactly one year later on October 23, 2010!

I love how Sean knew Sarah would love to have everyone involved in their special day and did it in such a cute way with the roses.  It was so great how he built up from their favorite memories into creating another momentous one.  That is what makes their story so wonderful.  Happy Friday and hopefully this inspired someone to do something special for their loved one this weekend!

Holiday Style

‘Tis the season for holiday parties and sparkle! We have put together a little style inspiration for your holiday ensemble featuring a few of our favorite pieces!

We love seeing the traditionally casual chambray shirt paired with the more modern sequin skirt and leopard print booties. The bow tie feature is too cute! Accessorize with a wine colored clutch and (our favorite part) the Kelly Ring as well as the Truth Earrings to complete the look. So pour a glass of bubbly and cheers us to a festive and fashionable holiday! Cheers!
